For nearly four decades, the West Valley Food Pantry has been fortunate to have the support of the National Charity League of San Fernando Valley. It's a partnership that brings mothers and daughters together in service to our community. Each summer, NCL mother-daughter teams spend time at the Pantry rolling up their sleeves and helping wherever they are needed. This year, their volunteers helped sort produce, pack fresh food bags, prepare groceries for our Senior Grocery Delivery program, and assist in our food distribution area. Their commitment is about more than volunteering; it gives mothers and daughters the opportunity to serve together and see firsthand the impact they can make in the lives of their neighbors.
The partnership also plays an important role in two of our most meaningful events of the year: our annual Backpack & School Supply Giveaway and our Holiday Toy Giveaway.
At the West Valley Food Pantry, we believe that ending hunger is about more than putting food on a table, it is about building a stronger, more compassionate community and National Charity League of San Fernando Valley has been helping us do just that. We are deeply grateful for the countless hours of service, generosity, and commitment their mothers and daughters have given to our Pantry and the families we serve. We are proud to call NCL a longtime partner and look forward to many more years of making a difference together.
