How did you get started working at the Pantry?
I was out of work for about a year during the COVID pandemic. At the time, my dad was the rector at Prince of Peace Church, and he told me that the pantry was hiring. I submitted my application and was brought on as a temporary employee in December 2021.
What inspired you to work in the Pantry?
Working at the Pantry helps me support my family and feel fulfilled at the same time because I am helping people
What is your favorite part of the work that you do at the Pantry?
I have always enjoyed interacting with the many different groups that come through each week to help us assemble bags of non-perishable food. Even when we only had small groups and focused on making family bags (), those experiences were always some of the most enjoyable and rewarding.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I am an avid gamer with a particular interest in tabletop role-playing games. I always have fun spending time with friends playing a great game.
If we lost you in the grocery store, what aisle should we check in first?
The freezer aisle has always been my favorite. Years ago, I worked in the freezer department at Smart & Final, and that experience left a lasting impression on me. Even now, I find myself naturally gravitating toward that area whenever I visit a grocery store.
