This month, we’re celebrating the success of Canstruction West Valley 2026, sharing exciting new community partnerships, announcing staff updates, and highlighting upcoming free health services for our clients.

Canstruction West Valley 2026

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Canstruction! Together, we raised over $25,000 for the Pantry. Congratulations to Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, our People’s Choice Award winner, and all the participating teams who helped make this event a success.

Upcoming Community Partnerships & Services

October 20th: Vida Mobile Clinic will offer flu shots at the Pantry from 9 AM–12 PM.

November 2nd: Team Protect will provide and install Clever Elly devices designed to help prevent accidental hot car deaths involving children and pets from 11 AM–12 PM.

November 10: Mission City Community Network will bring its mobile dental bus to offer free dental exams, oral hygiene education, referrals for follow-up care, and Medi-Cal enrollment support from 9:30 AM–12:30 PM.

We’re sharing a few team updates as Christina Lee moves on to a new opportunity, Kylee Mellick steps into the community and communications role, and Don Froehlich takes over as our Sorting and Bagging Coordinator. We’re grateful for Christina’s six years of dedication to the Pantry and excited for what’s ahead for our team!
